UGANDA INSPIRES KANYE WEST NEW ADIDAS DESIGN
The spirit of the African continent is creative, enlightening, educative, and inspiring. No one visits Africa from another continent without catching a glimpse of its spirit. No wonder tourists never get enough of the continent. The latest tourist to be inspired by the African continents spirit is Kanye West. Kanye West a few days back on the 16th October visited Uganda with his wife Kim Kardashian.
They visited the oldest orphanage in Uganda known as Masulita Children’s Home in Wakiso. On their visit, he gifted every child he met there the white colour of his YEEZY BOOST 350 v2s sneakers and performed some of the songs from his coming ‘YANDHI’, album.
He also gifted them Beats speakers to boost music listening in the orphanage. He also promised to return and build a world class tourism school to serve East Africa . To crown his visit to Uganda, he visited the Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni and gifted him a white pair of the YEEZY Sneakers as well.
We thought he was done until recently when he tweeted a hand sketched design of an Adidas branded sweater showcasing the back and front view. UGANDA boldly spelt out on the left hand side of the sweater and UN boldly written on the back. See picture below.
I believe it is designed for the United Nations though he is yet to say anything about this sweater design.
